Dear all,
How is it going?
On Friday evening after the dark tourism trip me and Robin went to Ventspils. On 5pm we departure from Riga and arrived in Ventspils at 8pm. Then we walked to the hotel however we stopped halfway to get to the supermarket to get something for dinner. The following morning we woke up at 7.30 am and left around 9am.
First, we walked towards the beach and saw the Baltic sea. This beach was not as sandy as I expected since there were mainly small rocks on the beach. However there were a lot of playground stuff on the beach for little children. We walked a little bit on the beach before getting back to the old town. We walked along the harbour to reach the old town. On the square there was a beautiful church with some beautiful sculptures. When we walked down the road a market was going on. After a while we walked back towards a different road and saw a castle. Inside there was a beautiful exhibition about the history and present of Ventspils. There was also an altar for praying and a tower that we could climb to see a beautiful view.
After the castle we went to a restaurant for dinner, we ate pizza. Then we had to wait an extra half an hour before going on the bus back home.
First we took the bus to Riga. In Riga we waited 40 minutes before taking the bus to Valmiera. We arrived in Valmiera around 10.30pm.
