The last couple of weeks have been very interesting, especially due to them being hectic. In this time we had some trouble in the dorms with water shortage or electric problems. The water shortage sometimes happened already at 8 o’clock while at other times it would be later.
Regarding the electric troubles it sometimes happened that suddenly it would be dark while taking a shower or the light would be like being in a disco – on and off.
Regarding school, there was a lot of activities due to it being the last period especially the last weeks. It were the busy weeks of the exams. For me, it was especially the last week before the holidays that I had to take approximately 5 presentations and 2 written exams.
On Wednesday the 17th of December at 6 o’clock there was a Christmas concert. I visited the concert since my roommate and both flatmates were singing in this concert.
On Thursday the 18th of December at 6 o’clock the Exchange Students met with our coordinator Baiba to have a Christmas dinner at Rosetta, which has the best pizza’s in town.
After dinner we met with Severyn, volunteer from Ukraine and Nora, volunteer from Hungary, to get ready for the Christmas ball. This ball was organised in a lovely building in Valmiermuiža. Me and Robin left the ball around 1.30 since we had to go to Tartu early the next morning.
Love,
Joëlle
