Working at the farm

Dear people,
Working on this farm is great. I went harvesting rice for the first time and ever since I went a few times harvesting rice. Harvesting rice is quiet easy. You hold on to a bit of the rice plant and cut it trough with the knife. You do a lot of plants and the others as well. After the plants are harvested, you put them in the machine and the plants will get separated from the grains. In one day you can fill about 20-25 rice sacks of 50kg (the rice sacks are filled with the grains).
If I didn’t go harvesting rice, I would go and help Jerry in the garden. Usually we would be planting something or we would give water to some plants. Sometimes we would feed the pigs. One day we fed the crocodile of 8 feet with a dog who just died.
Why they have a crocodile? Well Daisy’s son likes extreme animals and when this animal was 5 feet they thought it was a bit too big for the city, Manilla (capital city), and It was moved to the farm. That’s why. That is also why they have 2 pythons.
They also have a native crocodile but that animal Robert, son of Daisy, found it being wounded and helped it and ever since they kept it.
I would say this farm is a little crazy. But it is been fun working on it. I do enjoy the work and sometimes I don’t have to do much and I am free, can do my laundry and work on my journal or something else.
I hope the next coming weeks will be a lot of fun!

Ps. Did the snow disappear in the Netherlands? And if you are from another country, is there snow or is the sun shining like here?

Nee we hebben geen sneeuw meer in Nederland, maar echt warm is het ook nog niet, misschien 15 graden overdag en 's-nachts rond het vriespunt.
Het is echt nog koud, gelukkig kom je pas in de zomer terug -

Jouw verhalen lees ik met open mond van verbazing. Eerst eet je hond en nu voed je de krokodillen met een hond... ik vraag me af of je nog ooit zult wennen aan Nederland!
