Blijf op de hoogte en volg Joëlle
26 September 2014 | Letland, Valmiera
On Friday the 26th of September, we went on a trip with the class Baltic culture & heritage site. We are only with two people in the class, Robin and I.
First we went to a wooden mannor in Udenmuiža. The wooden mannor looked really beautiful, especially the tea house. Such a small house but very beautiful.
After this we went to medieval castle in Koknesis. This used to a castle on a top of a hill however the river has grown bigger over the years and now the castle is very close to the water. However it is more of a ruin instead of a totally castle.
Then we went to the destiny park. This park is an island of 22 hectare. This park is outstanding beautiful but will be used as a memorial park for those that died during wars in Latvia.
After this we went home. On the way of these 3 main attraction we also saw some other things. These were wonderful as well.
It was a nice day outside.
Thank you,
Joëlle
