A Queen, a Prince and then a King, a Princess.

Dear readers,
Being in the Philippines means missing Queensday. But then this year it is greater. Our Queen decided to stop and will give the crown to her son Prince Willem Alexander. This because the Queen turned 75 year old in January and the kingdom of the Netherlands exist 200 years.
This big event happened on the 30st of April. My mom who visits me here in the Philippines will also miss the event, we were in Manila at the time and could see a little bit over youtube but thanks to our farther/husband, we got some updates. The fun thing is my mom had the song for our new King with her, let say ‘Beautiful song, if you want to score the best in the worst song.’ However there was enough critic on the song, so let’s just forget that in a special day.
The moment that Prince Willem Alexander became King Willem Alexander I got a text message, saying Congratulations Joelle, with your new King!
I have to say this was special, because people remembered that I am from the Netherlands and that this is going on at the moment. The other thing is that somebody still wants to make me a part of what is happening is special. So for that I want to thank Dr Barrozzo for sending his text message.
This day is also very special because this is the first time a King in a very very long time. The other thing is that for once, the partner also gets a different title Queen. Because when we had a Queen, we weren’t able to name the partner King because the position would be higher than the one who is actually the crown princess or crown prince.
I am not sure if many remembered at the same day that princess Amalia is now officially crown princess.
Anyway I hoped everyday enjoyed Queensday!
