On Tuesday 06-11-2012 I arrived at school around quarter past eight. So I was a little early. I went to the staff room and talked with mrs. Bula, our headteacher. Afterwards I went to room 9, where my class 5 is. When I came into my class all the children said ‘Goodmorning miss Joëlle’. Then I discussed with their original teacher, what to do. We decided to let them form groups by the place they are sitting in. After the groups were done, we ask the class ‘What do you know about money?’. We got really good answers. Then we told each group to focus on any main subject about money, so one group got saving, another group took spending. And the group I helped took Vocabulary (difficult terms for money), each group made a nice poster. When everyone was finished at 1pm. We hang the posters in the classroom and then started to do English Revision, for the exams starting on Thursday.
The minister of Education who is based in Suva came on Wednesday (07-11-2012) to N.A.S (Nadi Airport School). This day was a really important day. The whole school had to be prepared the day before by paintings, nice work, just for this special day. And yes it was special. The minister talked to a few children of each class and to mrs. Bula. He also talked with me, he asked me why Nadi Airport School, and if I liked the school system, and how I liked Fiji so far. I felt he was a very nice man. Afterwards he looked around all the classes. And then he left.
Have a nice weekend!
Cya, xx.
