Rice festival

Dear people,
On the 10th of April, Daisy took me to a place up north where the first Rice Festival 2013 was. It was a festival for the fact that the first harvest season of rice started. On the festival there were a lot of farmers and other people who have a job in agriculture. This festival was for the organic and the non organic ones. On the 10th we arrived quiet late. But the program would only start in the evening. In the evening we got a bit of information about rice and there was a beauty contest. The beauty contest would show which couple of which region was the most beautiful and had the most knowledge about rice. The evening was in English and Tagalog (national language of the Phills).
The day after that there was a lot of music and singing of all regions, but also in english. And a lot of showing of video’s about farmers. Also there were a few speeches, there was also one from Daisy. There were also a few stands where you could buy the rice they had grown or a rice ice cream or something which they had produced on their farm.
It was my first Rice/Harvest festival and it were two fun days.
